More than 40% energy and CO2 savings at St Georges-sur-Meuse swimming pool thanks to energy renovation

What was our approach?
The municipality of Saint-Georges-sur-Meuse signed an energy performance contract (EPC) with us for the extensive renovation and energy optimisation of the municipal swimming pool. This 15-year EPC is part of the RenoWatt programme and includes several sustainable interventions:
- Renovation of the boiler room: new, efficient condensing boilers that significantly reduce energy consumption.
- New ventilation system: modernisation of the ventilation system in the bathing area with significant heat recovery.
- Photovoltaic panels: increasing the share of renewable energy in energy consumption.
- Rainwater recovery: sustainable water management by reusing rainwater.
Thanks to close cooperation with Wallonie Entreprendre and support from INFRASPORT grants, Saint-Georges-sur-Meuse’s swimming pool is now ready for a sustainable future, with guaranteed performance and increased comfort for users.
What was the result?
- A 45% reduction in primary energy consumption
- 43% lower greenhouse gas emissions
- 10% renewable energy
- Water savings thanks to advanced technologies and optimised management
