Business Development Manager (Industry / Flanders)

Within its Sales department, Luminus Solutions is recruiting a Business Development Manager responsible for the technical and commercial development of decarbonization, Energy Efficiency and CHP projects in Industry and Health sector.

Luminus Solutions is the EDF Group’s B2B Energy Services COmpany (ESCO) in Belgium. It specializes in Energy Efficiency, Decarbonization and Local Generation in industry & hospitals, as well as Energy Performance Contracts for Public Buildings.

Luminus Solutions is a 49% subsidiary of DALKIA, France’s leading Energy Services COmpany, and a 51% subsidiary of Luminus, Belgium first challenger in the energy sector.  Luminus Solutions manages Design, Build & Operate projects.  Luminus Solutions is recruiting specific profiles to strengthen its technical and sales teams in Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels.

What does this role entail?

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the technical, commercial and financial development of Energy Efficiency, Decarbonization and CHP (Combined Heat & Power) activities for B2B industrial customers and for hospitals :

• He contacts customers proactively, analyzes their needs and ambitions and, with the support of engineering, provides the most appropriate technical and economic response. He is able to produce tailor-made offers, involving several techniques and different trades.
• He builds a relationship of trust with the customer, based on competence, advice and availability.
• The Business Development Manager also analyzes market specifications and negotiates contractual terms in a balanced and well-considered manner, with the support of specialized legal experts when necessary. He or she is familiar with the regulatory framework applied to the energy sector, and knows how to analyze and even anticipate its evolution. He/she is capable to perform risk analysis of a specific project.
• He/she is also capable of conceptualizing new products, adapting existing ones to meet market expectations, whilst considering Luminus Solutions’ internal capacities and competencies.
• The Business Development Manager is also responsible for bringing together the technical and commercial resources needed to develop often complex solutions. He/she is able to draw up a study and implementation schedule, and make commercial and technical offers to customers.
• He/she collaborates actively with the Luminus Account Managers to support the development of energy services for Luminus B2B customers, as well as with the technical subsidiaries of the EDF Group in Belgium.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in science, civil or industrial engineering, Master’s degree in business or equivalent experience ;
• At least 3 years’ technical and commercial experience in the energy efficiency services and/or CHP and/or multitechnical maintenance sector in B2B;
• Proven experience in project and new business development ;
• Experience in coordination of partners (study offices, contractors, …) ;
• Technical knowledge;
• Team spirit and leadership;
• Strong personal commitment;
• Highly developed communication skills;
• Pragmatic and results-oriented mindset;
• Fluency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.

Workplace

Hoegaarden. Frequent travel to customer sites in Belgium.
